FASHION & BEAUTY:- Slimming tea isn't a solution........ Host :- Olamide Ige.

Hey guys...  I welcome you to another edition of fashion and beauty on your favorite blogspot Smile documentary...
Today 's gist is about fitness.. Why should we keep fit? Are there some things we can gain from keeping fit?  Because trust me keeping fit is part of being beautiful.

Getting time to time exercise makes your whole system work better, from digestion to every joint and vein in your body. It builds up your strength and pumps blood around your body, It improves your posture and gives stamina and it is better than dieting when you intend to lose weight.
Regular exercises brings more than physical fitness..

It helps to concentrate, feel more alert, it helps you to be stable and strong while dealing with problems,  it helps you to have a relaxed and sound mind, it increases the life span (longevity), it prevents diseases, it improves self confidence,  gives more energy and enhances good sleep..

. The list is inexhaustible  .  But let's go a little deeper into the benefits..
Prevention of diseases :
Exercise fends off disease better than anything pharmaceutical organizations could ever hope to sell. People have tried to bottle and sell it,(slimming teas) but there’s simply no substitute for the real thing. The healing components of exercise are so powerful that they scare sicknesses more than u can imagine . They tackle diabetes, heart disease, cancer, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, migraines …it will be safe to say 'Exercise is a powerful prevention against almost every disease...

 Longevity :
If exercising regularly can prevent diseases then it can and will prevent death and when you are not dead you are living (laughs).  As the most essential thing is to live.
It boosts self confidence :
Those with low or no self-confidence can gain confidence by simply doing a bit of simple exercise, such as walking, jogging or even working in the garden. The simple act of doing something healthy and productive for yourself can lift up your self-confidence. And you can get a good job just by being confident...  You see how exercise can make your life beautiful or who doesn't want a good job??  Not me...(smiles)

Energy :
Spending energy to get more energy.(like the popular saying  "spend money to get money") Exercise will give you more energy than cutting trees with an ordinary cutlass. Regular exercise plays a consistent role in reducing stress and improving energy.

A 5-15 minutes exercise daily can make you stronger, sleep better, live longer, look younger and it keeps you away from the doctors too...
That'll be all for this week and I hope you have learnt something. But It wouldn't be fair enough if I fail to tell you the cheapest and easiest exercise for the face...  A SMILE....

Catch me again next week for another mouth watering story..  Keep smiling and stay beautiful.. I remain your humble host Ige Olamide.

ONE FRAME:- We Stopped him......MKO Abiola. :- Host :- Olawoyin Smile

When we forget our history, the identity will begin to fade .
I welcome you all to the first episode of ONE FRAME In 2017,  today I will be running a documentary on an Icon, Business mogul, great  politician, Philanthropist, a man of many parts and then presidential aspirant :MKO Abiola Kashimawo.

Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, CFR (24 August 1937 – 7 July 1998), often referred to as M. K. O. Abiola, was a popular Nigerian Yoruba businessman, a publisher, politician and an aristocrat of the Yoruba Egba clan. He contested for the office of the president in 1993 , and is widely regarded as the presumed winner of the inconclusive election since no official final results were announced. He died in 1998, after being denied victory when the entire election results were dubiously annulled by the preceding military president
Ibrahim Babangida because of alleged evidence that they were corrupt and unfair.

His name, Kashimawo, means "Let us wait and see".  Moshood Abiola was his father's twenty-third child after many attempt but the first of his father's children to survive infancy, hence the name 'Kashimawo' emanated. It was not until he was 15 years old that he was properly named Moshood, by his parents.
MKO showed entrepreneurial talents at a very young age, at the age of nine he started his first business selling firewood. He would wake up at dawn to go to the forest and gather firewood, which he would then cart back to town and sell before going to school, to support his old father and his siblings. He later founded a band at age fifteen where he would perform at various ceremonies in exchange for food. He eventually became famous enough to start demanding payment for his performances and used the money to support his family and his secondary education at the Baptist Boys High School Abeokuta, where he excelled. He was the editor of the school magazine 'The Trumpeter' ,

Olusegun Obasanjo was deputy editor. At the age of 19 he joined the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons ostensibly because of its stronger pan-Nigerian origin compared with the Obafemi Awolowo-led Action Group .

Moshood Abiola married five wives; Simibiat Atinuke Shoaga in 1960, Kudirat Olayinka Adeyemi in 1973, Adebisi Olawunmi Oshin in 1974, Doyinsola (Doyin) Abiola Aboaba in 1981 and Remi Abiola. He fathered over 40 children.

In 1956 Moshood Abiola started his professional life as a bank clerk with
Barclays Bank in Ibadan , South-West Nigeria.  Two years after, he joined the Western Region Finance Corporation as an executive accounts officer, before leaving for Glasgow , Scotland, to pursue his higher education. From Glasgow University he received a first class degree in accountancy,  and he also gained a distinction from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland . On his return to Nigeria, Abiola worked as a senior accountant at the University of Lagos Teaching Hospital, then went on to Pfizer , before joining the ITT Corporation, where he later rose to the position of Vice-President, Africa and Middle-East, of the entire corporation, which was headquartered in the United States. As a result, Abiola spent a lot of his time (and made most of his money) in the United States, whilst retaining the post of chairman of the corporation's Nigerian subsidiary. In addition to his duties throughout the Middle-East and Africa, Abiola invested heavily in Nigeria and West Africa.

He set up Abiola Farms, Abiola Bookshops, Radio Communications Nigeria, Wonder Bakeries, Concord Press, Concord Airlines, Summit Oil International Ltd, Africa Ocean Lines, Habib Bank, Decca W.A. Ltd, and Abiola football club. In addition to these, he also managed to perform his duties as Chairman of the G15 business council, President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Patron of the Kwame Nkrumah Foundation, Patron of the WEB Du Bois foundation, trustee of the Martin Luther King Foundation.

Moshood Abiola sprang to national and international prominence as a result of his philanthropic activities. The Congressional Black Caucus of the United States of America issued the following tribute to Moshood Abiola:
From 1972 until his death Moshood Abiola had been conferred with 197 traditional titles by 68 different communities in Nigeria, in response to the fact that his financial assistance resulted in the construction of 63 secondary schools, 121 mosques and churches, 41 libraries, 21 water projects in 24 states of Nigeria, and was grand patron to 149 societies or associations in Nigeria. In this way Abiola reached out and won admiration across the multifarious ethnic and religious divides in Nigeria. In addition to his work in Nigeria, Moshood Abiola was a dedicated supporter of the Southern African Liberation movements from the 1970s and he sponsored the campaign to win

reparations for slavery and colonialism in Africa and the diaspora. Chief Abiola, personally rallied every African head of state, and every head of state in the black diaspora to ensure that Africans would speak with one voice on the issues.

Chief MKO Abiola's memory is celebrated in Nigeria and internationally. However the 12th of June remains a public holiday in Lagos and Ogun states. There are also  events arranged in remembrance across Nigeria.  MKO Abiola was known for his charisma and for being a man of the people. As a prominent social activist, democratic freedom fighter, and successful business figure, the continuing support for MKO Abiola is part of his legacy.
MKO Abiola Stadium and Moshood Abiola Polytechnic were named in his honour. There were also calls for posthumous presidential recognition.

A statue, MKO Abiola Statue was also erected in his honour.
Despite his popularity or because of it, MKO Abiola occasionally attracted criticism from political activists and detractors. Controversy was caused by a song by Nigerian musician, Fela Kuti. Kuti was a charismatic multi-instrumentalist musician, composer and human rights activist – famed for being the pioneer of Afrobeat music as well as a controversial figure, due to his unusual lifestyle and apparent drug use.

It is believed that Kuti had entered into an acrimonious dispute relating to a contract with MKO Abiola's record label. He used the abbreviation of International Telephone & Telegraph (IT&T) in a song criticising big multinational corporations. The song, ITT accuses such companies of draining Africa's resources and makes specific reference to MKO Abiola ("they start to steal money Like Obasanjo and Abiola").

Abiola's involvement in politics started early on in life when he joined the National Council of Nigerians and the Cameroons (NCNC) at age 19. In 1979, the military government kept its word and handed over power to the civilian. As Abiola was already involved in politics, he joined the ruling National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in 1980 and was elected the state chairman of his party. Re-election was done in 1983 and everything looked promising since the re-elected president was from Abiola's party and based on the true transition to power in 1979; Abiola was eligible to go for the post of presidential candidate after the tenure of the re-elected president. However, his hope to become the president was shortly dashed away for the first time in 1983 when a military coup d'état swept away the re-elected president of his party and ended civilian rule in the country.

After a decade of military rule, General Ibrahim Babangida came under pressure to return democratic rule to Nigeria. After an aborted initial primary, Abiola stood for the presidential nomination of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and beat Ambassador Baba Gana Kingibe and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to secure the presidential nomination of the SDP ahead of the 12 June 1993 presidential elections. Abiola had managed to work his way out of poverty through hard work and symbolised the aspirations of many downtrodden Nigerians.

His commitment to the plight of ordinary Nigerians included establishing Abiola bookshops to provide affordable, locally produced textbooks in the 1980s when imported textbooks became out of the reach of ordinary Nigerians as the naira was devalued. He also made available daily necessities such as rice and soap at affordable prices in the market.

Hmm No eraser can clean up the past and future. Join me  next week for the concluding part of MKO Abiola's Frame. I remain your host Olawoyin Smile.

FASHION & BEAUTY:- Crazy mind lead to Crazy jeans. :- Host Ige Olamide

Hello hello people... How are you today?  I warmly welcome you to another edition of fashion and beauty where you learn all you need to know about fashion and beauty. I remain your humble host Ige Olamide. Today we'll talk about RIPPED JEANS popularly called  crazy jeans.

These jeans are everywhere this days.. Me as a person I loooove ripped jeans, momma complains about it all the time.. (laughs) You either buy it ripped or you rip it yourself. Let's see how it all started.
Ripped jeans are denim jeans with tear or rips, often on the knees but possibly in other locations on the pant. They were popular in the late1980s.
Pants that are showing natural or manipulated wear & tear are often referenced as distressed/ ripped jeans. Worn and ripped jeans remain popular as they are still sold in stores. In the early 2010s, ripped jeans was back in vogue, as 90s revival, but were sometimes introduced as Distressed similar to ripped jeans, but the horizontal sewing point was occasionally removed to look like it was distressed. Not all distressed jeans are worn as a fashion statement.

Ripped jeans were simply a result of over-wearing.  Prior to the1970's, ripped jeans were mainly associated with the less fortunate.  The lower end of the working class  could not afford to part with their denim.  Obviously, if a family cannot afford to purchase new pants, they may continue wearing them past the point of their own personal preference. The reality is that long before people were wearing torn jeans to express personal style, people were wearing torn clothing out of necessity. Those who intentionally display ripped jeans, are typically not poor but do this as a conscious choice.Which denim  manufacturer was the first to decide that it was OK to produce ripped jeans on purpose..

There are primarily three types of ripped jeans.
1.Jeans ripped naturally by frequent use or age of the denim.
2.Jeans ripped on purpose by the owner of the garment.
3.Jeans ripped during the manufacturing process on purpose.

Madonna, Jon Bon Jovi and Michael Jackson to name but a few, were seen wearing ripped jeans, which helped them to become popular . Kids and young adults of all ages were more than happy to wear a pair of jeans that looked like they had seen better days, but it was ok, because it was the cool thing to do. Ripped jeans were so fashionable during the 1980’s that people were more than happy to get a pair of scissors and cut holes in them. The more holes the better, but you definitely had to make sure you had holes at the knees. The frayed look was also pretty popular at the time, and as well as seeing people with deliberately damaged edges of clothes, it was also important to make sure the holes in your jeans were frayed too.

To keep the holes in their jeans frayed, people would frequently pull the loose threads as it would ensure there was a lot of fraying going on.But the jeans didn’t just come with holes, they also came with a few slits too, and it wasn’t uncommon for people to deliberately take a sharp knife to their pants so they got the look they wanted.
I am surprised at what length people could go to achieve the look they wanted.
This is the history behind the very high rated crazy jeans... I hope you enjoyed reading this..  Up until next week when we'll come your way again with something more intriguing keep smiling.

FASHION & BEAUTY:- "My Jewelry is my Life" Host:- Olamide Ige

Hello lovely people, welcome to smile documentary I remain your host Ige Olamide.
Today we'll gist about JEWELRY

Jewelry consists of small decorative items worn for personal decoration, such as brooches, rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Jewelery may be attached to the body or the clothes. For many centuries metal, often combined with gemstones, has been the normal material for jewelery, but other materials such as shells and other plant materials may be used.Jewelery may be made from a wide range of materials,Gemstones and similar materials such as amberandcoral, precious metals, beads, and shells have been widely used, and enamel has often been important.

In most cultures jewelery can be understood as a status symbol, for its material properties, its patterns,or for meaningful symbols.Jewelery has been made to adorn nearly every body part, from hairpins to toe rings, and even genital jewelery. The patterns of wearing jewelery between the sexes, and by children and older people can vary greatly between cultures, but adult women have been the most consistent wearers of jewelery; The word jewelery itself is derived from the word jewel, which was gotten  from the Old French"jouel".

Jewelry is indeed the little extra, the final touch to bring to an outfit for a 100% successful trendy look. In trade, the choice of accessories is so broad that the options to match jewelry and clothes are innumerable Most cultures at some point have had a practice of keeping large amounts of wealth stored in the form of jewelery

. Numerous cultures store wedding dowries in the form of jewelery or make jewelery as a means to store or display coins. Alternatively, jewelery has been used as a currency or trade good; an example being the use of slave beads. Many items of jewelery, such as brooches and buckles, originated as purely functional items, but evolved into decorative items as their functional requirement diminished.Jewelery can also symbolise group membership (as in the case, of the Christian crucifix or the JewishStar of David) or status (as in the case of chains of office, or the Western practice of married people wearing wedding rings).

Wearing of amulets and devotional medals to provide protection or ward off evil is common in somecultures. These may take the form of symbols, stones, plants and body parts beads are frequently used in jewelery. These may be made of glass, gemstones, metal, wood, shells, clay and polymer clay. Beaded jewelery commonly encompasses necklaces, bracelets, earrings, belts and rings.

Beads may be large or small; the smallest type of beads used are known as seed beads, these are the beads used for the "woven" style of beaded jewelery. Another use of seed beads is an embroidery technique where seed beads are sewn onto fabric backings to create broad collar neck pieces and beaded bracelets. Bead embroidery, a popular type of handwork is enjoying a renaissance in modern jewellery making. Beading, or beadwork, is also very popular in many African and indigenous North American cultJewelries can make or break your look.

When choosing fashion jewelries to match your outfit, consider the color, and style of the pieces, and keep the occasion in mind.
The scale of your fashion jewelries is important, too. When you're wearing patterns, simple jewelries are the best option. Jewelry that are too busy will make prints look tacky. The same goes for ruffled, sequined, embroidered or otherwise embellished garments: Wear understated jewelries to keep the emphasis on your outfit.
Till next week when we'll come your way again with another educating topic stay beautiful queens,  stay handsome kings and stay glued to smile documentary..

I remain your host Ige Olamide.

ONE FRAME:- "No Debts Recorded" Bishop David Oyedepo. Host:- Olawoyin Smile

Welcome to another Episode of ONE FRAME, today I will conclude The Documentary of  Bishop David Oyedepo

Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners Chapel) is a megachurch and a Christian denomination founded by Bishop David Oyedepo in 1981. The church itself began operating on Dec 11 1983, after its commissioning on Sep 17 1983 by Pastor Enoch Adeboye. The organization has since become a global network of churches with congregations in 49 countries.

The beginnings of the church can be traced back to May 1981 when Oyedepo at age 26 claims to have had an 18-hour vision from God. In this vision God spoke to him saying, “Now the hour has come to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil, through the preaching of the Word of faith; and I am sending you to undertake this task”. Two years later the church was formed with four members.

Faith Tabernacle
The international headquarters of Winners Chapel is called the Faith Tabernacle. It covers about 70 acres (280,000 m ) and is built inside an over 17,000-acre (69 km ) church complex called Canaan Land, the international headquarters of the ministry in Ota, a suburb of Lagos. The building took 12 months to be completed. The foundation laying took place on August 29, 1998. The dedication of the building took place on September 19, 1999 with 97,800 people in attendance. The structure is purported to have been built without any debts and within a year of work beginning.

Between 1999 and 2014 when the 55,000 acre Philippine Arena was completed, Faith Tabernacle was the largest church building in the world. It has a seating capacity of 50,400 people and an outside overflow capacity of over 250,000, with four services every Sunday. Cannanland was procured in 1998 and was initially 560 acres (2.3 km ). Presently it is over 17,000 acres (69 km ) and will take about 120 km to navigate around it.

On Dec 11 2013, exactly 30 years after the church commenced services, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr, first son of the founder ministered for the first time at the Church’s annual Shiloh gathering. In December 2015, Oyedepo Jnr became the resident pastor of the Faith Tabernacle with unfounded rumours that the older Oyedepo had retired.

In Dec 2015, Oyedepo also announced commencement of the construction of a 100,000 capacity Faith Arena which when completed would be the largest auditorium in the world. The Theatre will be centralised within a 15,000 housing estate to be known as ‘Canaan City’.
Beliefs
The Church is founded upon twelve core emphases as follows:
1. FAITH (1 John 5:4; Eph. 6:16)
2. THE WORD (John 1:1-12; Heb. 1:3)
3. SIGNS AND WONDERS (Ps. 82:5-7; John 3:8)
4. THE HOLY SPIRIT (Acts 1:1-8; Isaiah 10:27)
5. PROSPERITY (3 John 2; Ps. 35:27; Zech. 1:17)
6. PRAYER (1 John 5:14)
7. HEALING (Isaiah 53:3-4; Jer. 8:22; Matt. 8:17)
8. WISDOM (Prov. 24:3-4, Isaiah 33:6)
9. SUCCESS (Joshua 1:8-10)
10. VISION (Prov. 29:18, Jer. 29:11)
11. CONSECRATION (Hebrews12:14; 2Tim. 2:19)
12. PRAISE (2 Chro. 20:20-22; Ps. 67:1-7; 149:1-9)
The theological position of the church is Pentecostal.
Dominion Publishing House
The publishing house that grew out of Winner’s Chapel was founded on 5 December 1992. Dominion Publishing House has published over 120 books, most of which have been written by Oyedepo

.
Education
Many educational institutions are linked to the chapel, including Covenant University, Landmark University, Faith Academy and over 150 Kingdom Heritage Model Schools. In addition,

there is a ministry training college called The Word of Faith Bible Institute.
Shiloh
Every year in December, the church hosts a global event called Shiloh. The mandate for this event is drawn from the Bible books of Joshua 18:1 and 1 Samuel 1:3.
The purpose of the event is to usher the visitation of God to his people. It also marks the end of the Church year.

As of 2012, there were millions in attendance in all the locations and the church website also experienced a huge hit.
The event is held mostly in the first week of December.

Join me next week for another Episode of ONE FRAME with Olawoyin smile
